Tree Surgeon Dies After Fall Into Wood Chipper

A tree surgeon has died after losing his footing and falling head first into an industrial wood chipper, sparking a police investigation.

Two of his sons witnessed the accident, which happened outside a car dealership in Phoenix, Arizona.

The wood chipper, designed to handle large branches, was so powerful that the victim was decapitated during the incident.

His grieving family has insisted the landscaper, who worked for Trim-A-Tree, had decades of experience and was fully compliant with health and safety rules.

The victim's daughter-in-law described him as a "happy man who loved his family".

Brenda Zapata told KTVK: "We're never going to see his smiling face one more time."
